Groundhog & GO! Soccer
What is "Groundhog Soccer?"
Fun, exercise and learning. A program where 1st and 2nd grade girls and boys play soccer in an instructional environment with kids of their age and ability.
What is "Go! Soccer?"
Go! Soccer is exactly the same, except GIRLS ONLY! This program runs in parallel with Groundhog Soccer with the added emphasis of putting the girls in charge.
Which program should my daughter join?
Your daughter should join the program that will give her the most enjoyment, plain and simple. She will learn the same basic soccer skills in both programs.
Who will coach these teams?
Parents! We are interested in people who know these children best. You don't have to be a soccer star or even have played the game in order to be a great coach. If you believe that youth sports is all about the children and not about the wins, you are the kind of coach we are looking for.
What is the philosophy of these programs?
Early elementary school children need to enjoy a healthy dose of exercise in a nurturing and supportive atmosphere where success is measured in smiles, not wins or losses. Team practices revolve around fun games and activities that will enhance basic soccer skills, sportsmanship and teamwork.
What is the league's schedule?
Leagues are held in the spring and fall each year. New teams are formed each season. The spring session starts in early to mid-April and the fall league starts in early-September. Games are played Thursday evenings. Teams generally hold practice Monday evenings, however coaches may decide to practice another evening during the week.
Is financial assistance available?
Financial and minority scholarships are available. Learn more.

Registration fees includes a uniform and trophy. Parents must supply a size 3 soccer ball and shin guards for their child. Soccer shoes are highly recommended, tennis shoes are acceptable. Baseball shoes with square cleats are not allowed.
