Classic Traveling Teams - 2010-2011 Seasons

Travel teams are formed in the fall and play both fall and spring seasons as one team. As a result, new teams are not typically formed in the spring.

• Players must tryout for these teams.
• Teams will be formed if there are enough players at an appropriate skill level to field a team.
• If a player does not make a competitive team, he/she will be offered a roster spot on a recreational traveling team if there is roster space.
• Just because there is a tryout, does not mean there will be a team at that age group.
• Players on competitive teams should expect a greater commitment in terms of attendance, practice, tournaments, etc.
• Teams play fall and spring. Registered players should expect to play both seasons, unless otherwise noted.
• Half of the games are played in Sun Prairie and half within greater Madison area, travel varies by age.

Age Requirements
Our first priority is placing players on a team appropriate for their skill level and then age level. If numbers warrant, some age groups may be combined or reassigned.

For 2010-2011, SPSC may field classic or state league girls teams at:

• U11 (Born between August 1, 1999 and July 31, 2000)
  
  • U10 aged players MAY try out for U11 teams if they are interested in a more competitive soccer experience.
  • A U11 team will NOT consist of more than half U10 aged players.
  • No U9 players are allowed to play on classic teams.
• U12 (Born between August 1, 1998 and July 31, 1999)
• U13 (Born between August 1, 1997 and July 31, 1998)
• U14 (Born between August 1, 1996 and July 31, 1997)
• U15 (Born between August 1, 1995 and July 31, 1996) - plays fall season only

• U14 aged players MAY try out for U15/16 teams if they are interested in a more competitive soccer experience.
• Placement on a spring U14 team is NOT guaranteed.
• U16 (Born between August 1, 1994 and July 31, 1995) - plays fall season only
• U17 (Born between August 1, 1993 and July 31, 1994) - plays fall season only
• U18-19 (Born on or after August 1, 1992) - plays fall season only

For 2010-2011, SPSC may field classic or state league coed teams at:

• U11 - Born between August 1, 1999 and July 31, 2000
  
  • U10 aged players MAY try out for U11 teams if they are interested in a more competitive soccer experience.
  • A U11 team will NOT consist of more than half U10 aged players.
  • No U9 players are allowed to play on classic teams.
• U12 (Born between August 1, 1998 and July 31, 1999)
• U13 (Born between August 1, 1997 and July 31, 1998)
• U14 (Born between August 1, 1996 and July 31, 1997)
• U15 (Born between August 1, 1995 and July 31, 1996) - plays spring season only
• U14 aged players MAY try out for U15/16 teams if they are interested in a more competitive soccer experience.
• Placement on a fall U14 team is NOT guaranteed.
• U16 (Born between August 1, 1994 and July 31, 1995) - plays spring season only
• U17 (Born between August 1, 1993 and July 31, 1994) - plays spring season only
• U18-19 (Born on or after August 1, 1992) - plays spring season only

1. Register online using a credit card.
   
2. Mail a copy of player's birth certificate (if it has not previously been sent in) to:
